Julio has lived and worked for over 10 years in Silicon Valley, California, working in multinational technology companies such as Vindicia (San Mateo, CA) and Accellion (Palo Alto, CA).
Julio founded one of the first private training and support centers for entrepreneurs.
In Silicon Valley he participated and closely followed the activities of accelerators such as Renaissance, Plug and Play, Y-Combinator and 500 Startups.
Julio won the Startup Competition at Demium accelerator.
Julio has launched 5 companies in different sectors. The latest, forMarketer, was voted the #36 Most Innovative National Startup by a panel of venture capital investors.
As CEO of forMarketer, Julio closed 5 investment rounds adding almost 30 high-level national and international investors and advisors such as the Global VP of Dell Computers, the Marketing VP of Cloudinary, the Sales VP of Carto or the Engineering VP of Flywire.
Julio developed and taught one of the first training programs for entrepreneurs.
For 5 years he published an online magazine for entrepreneurs and an annual report on business creation. He has been a speaker at national and international conferences, and participated in training programs with the Chambers of Commerce and Development Agencies.
His work was highlighted in national media.
He co-authored a book on entrepreneurship and Silicon Valley.
Julio was selected to participate in the management of one of the first venture capital funds specialized in early-stage investment in technology companies.
He was co-author of the report of recommendations to implement a regional Business Angels Network.
As CEO of a technology startup, he has experienced the relationship with Business Angels and venture capital firms also from the side of the entrepreneur.
In addition to leading the start-up of several business projects and managing teams of different sizes, Julio has worked in roles of strategic analysis, training, digital transformation, communication, marketing, sales, software development, and customer service.
Julio has a degree in Business Administration and Management from the ESADE Business School, where he also has a Master in Business Administration (MBA). He is certified in advanced B2B marketing programs from Marketo, Hubspot, and DemandBase.
He trained as a full-stack software engineer (MERN) at the Dev BootCamp in San Francisco, and as an Artificial Intelligence Engineer (AI Engineer), Machine Learning and Data Science with the Stanford University, Deep Learning.AI and Datamecum advanced programs.
